Tip #31: Water-saving tip when cleaning the bathroom

Do you flush the toilet after you’ve cleaned it? Do you pour your bucket of dirty water down the drain? No need!

There is nothing special about ‘flushing’ a toilet by pressing the lever. You can usually achieve the same effect by pouring a bucket of water down it. So pour your bucket of dirty water into the toilet, and when you rinse out the bucket, pour that in the toilet too.

No water wasted, and you’ve saved a flush.

(Toilets in other countries may work differently but i think this would work on most UK toilets!)
